SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – We have an update on a found dog that’s become very well known around the Ozarks.
Miracle is fittingly, what the dog is now named after all she’s been through.
The English shepherd mix was hit by a car in Greene county three months ago. Local realtor Jeanna Callahan found the dog badly injured and got her to the emergency vet.
She had broken ribs and had to undergo two surgeries. She made it through and that’s why she got the moniker, Miracle. She even has her own Facebook page, documenting her recovery.
Jeanna searched tirelessly to see if Miracle had an owner but no one stepped forward. She’s been recuperating at a foster home but now it’s time to find her a forever home.
Jeanna says the perfect fit will be a calm and peaceful household.
“We’re looking for somebody without little kids. Just not a lot of stimulus, where she can be an only dog. She is a velcro dog. She will bond with her person and that’s it. If you want a shadow, she’s the one. She just wants to be loved on, be by you. She’s the kind, if you’re petting her and you stop, she’ll paw you or nose you and said, hi, I’m still here.”
So many people donated to Miracle’s care and have become invested in her story and Jeanna says she’s overwhelmed by people’s generosity.
