Lake City Police arrest man for animal cruelty after dog left in hot car

LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) – Lake City Police arrest a man for animal cruelty after finding dog stuck in car on Saturday.

Officers say they found a dog heavily panting and drooling outside in a car. There was no water in the vehicle and the windows were barely open.

The officers were able to remove the dog from the car and find the owner.

Jesse Adam Smith, 40, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

He is being held at Columbia County Jail.

Chief of Police Gerald Butler warns pet owners, “Leaving pets in a hot vehicle, even for a few minutes, can be deadly. Temperatures inside a parked car can quickly rise to dangerous levels, putting your pet at risk of heatstroke or even death.”

The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
