
Massachusetts State Police and Milton Animal Control are hoping to reunite a malnourished dog found at Blue Hills Reservation with her family. Early Monday morning, June 10, a good Samaritan stopped by the Milton-barracks and dropped off a beautiful, young female pit bull mix, state police said. The good Samaritan saw the dog near the roadway inside the Blue Hills Reservation and stopped. When they opened the door to their car, the dog jumped in, state police said.The dog has some basic obedience training and knows “sit” and “come” commands, state police said.The dog appeared to be malnourished and was starving for attention. It is unknown how long the dog has been on her own, state police said.Troopers purchased dog food and entertained her, and “for a few hours, she served as the SP-Milton mascot,” state police said.Milton Animal Control took custody of the dog later in the morning.
