The Newfield Public Library will host a “Read to Dogs” event on Wednesday, May 7, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., offering kids a chance to practice reading with therapy dogs.
The program is part of a partnership with Cornell Companions, a volunteer group supported by Cornell’s Veterinary College that promotes animal-assisted activities in the community. Children are encouraged to read aloud to trained therapy dogs in a relaxed, judgment-free setting.
