The Kentucky Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for adult dogs in its “Empty the Shelters” event.All adoption fees are being waived on KHS dogs one year and older from now until May 15.Adopters are still responsible for the licensing fee of $10.50 and leash/collar fees of $10.Adopters can also make a donation if they wish.The BISSELL Pet Foundation is partnering with KHS to make the promotion available.Adoption holds do not apply to the promotion.Kentucky Humane Society adoption locations and hours: Sam Swope Pet TLC at 241 Steedly Drive will process adoption applications Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.East Campus at 1000 Lyndon Lane will process adoption applications Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Closed May 9 and 10)There will also be adoptions on Saturday, May 10 at the LOU Adopts! Mega Adoption Event at the Kentucky Exposition Center Pavilion.
