The Kenai River Brown Bears managed to squeeze out an overtime win against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, ending 5-4 in the action on Friday, Feb. 06, 2025.

scored the game-winning goal.

The team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Gavin Jensen.

Luke Lizak

Andrew Larson

assisted.

The Ice Dogs’

Kyle Rohrer

tied it up 1-1 in the first period, assisted by

Luc Plante

and Kaycee Coyle.

Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Brown Bears led 3-2 going in to the third period.

The Ice Dogs tied the score 3-3 within the first minute when

Gage Leonard

netted one, assisted by Kyle Rohrer and

Ian Norkevicus

took the lead with a goal seven minutes later, assisted by

.

tied the game 4-4 with a goal four minutes later, assisted by

. The game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 4:20 before Gavin Jensen scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Andrew Larson.
