Is This Viral NY Starbucks Hack ” For The Dogs” ?

You guys, have you heard about Lauryn Clare’s viral Starbucks hack? If not, buckle up because this one’s a doozy! In an Instagram reel that’s blowing up the internet, Lauryn, who goes by @lauryn.elizabeth_, shares a clever trick that might just land you in the parental “doghouse.” The hack? Ordering a “pup cup” for your toddler instead of shelling out for a pricey cake pop.

Now, for those not in the know, a pup cup (or “puppuccino” if you’re feeling fancy) is a secret menu item at Starbucks. It’s basically a small espresso cup filled with whipped cream, usually reserved for our four-legged friends. But Lauryn, ever the resourceful mom, figured out that it works just as well for her 2-year-old daughter, Adeline.

In the now-famous 5-second clip, little Addie is seen joyfully licking away at her pup cup. The whipped cream is overflowing, and she’s absolutely loving it. Honestly, she looks as happy as a kid in a candy store—or rather, a toddler with a $5 cake pop. Lauryn’s caption reads, “If you can’t afford Starbucks for two, order your toddler a pup cup. It’s free and will make them just as happy as a $5 cake pop.”

But here’s the kicker: while this hack is undeniably clever and adorable, it’s also stirred up quite a bit of controversy. Some parents are applauding Lauryn for her ingenuity, while others are worried about giving their kids a treat intended for dogs.

Lauryn explained in an interview with Today that she usually skips Starbucks because it’s expensive, but with only $4.89 left on her gift card, she needed a cheaper option for both her and Addie. When the barista asked for the “dog’s” name, Lauryn didn’t miss a beat and replied, “Addie!”

So, next time you’re at Starbucks with your little one, you might want to try this out. Just be prepared for a few raised eyebrows and the potential for a sticky, whipped cream-covered mess.

The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
