Internet users can’t stop laughing at a dog’s hilarious reaction to its owner’s boyfriend trying to get close to her.
In the viral video, shared on TikTok on Monday, under the username @diagnasuarez340, the protective pup can be seen consistently blocking the boyfriend’s attempts to touch his girlfriend, using its paws and muzzle to push his hand away.
The hilarious video comes along with a caption that reads: “Watch what happens when my boyfriend tries to touch me.”
All dog owners love their pups unconditionally, but do the pets love their owners back?
An article posted by VCA Animal Hospitals says that dogs truly do love their owners. In fact, according to the veterinary website, scientific research confirms that parts of the canine brain are associated with positive emotions when dogs interact with their humans.
There are many signs that prove your dog loves you, but perhaps the most obvious one is their excitement to see you. If your pup jumps or barks or gets overly excited when you step through the door, that is because they couldn’t wait to have you back home.
This protective behavior, as showcased in the video, is a testament to the strong bond between dogs and their owners.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 2 million views and more than 176,000 likes on the platform.
One user, Manda, commented: “lol [laugh out loud] so we all have boy dogs that groom us and don’t let anyone touch us.”
Veronicabaer0926 posted: “Never let them know your next move….caught your bf [boyfriend] slipping.”
Mariah wrote: “My Maltese does the same thing lol even if he try’s to hug me !!!!!! And she’s constantly licking me this must be a Maltese thing.”
Another user, Peanut’s_Mom, commented: “You were warned but it was the ninja like assault that had me, then the dog took your spot like yep want to play again fluff around and find out.”
Blahzay_Blah added: “I had Echo for 8 years. Then my GF [girlfriend] moved in and Echo tried to kick me out of bed every night so he could have her all to himself!”
