Infant attacked by two dogs, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – An infant was attacked by two dogs at an apartment complex in Hickory Hill, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Police said that officers were called to the Cedar Run Apartments in Hickory Hill just before 5:20 Friday afternoon; the officers were told that two dogs were attacking an infant at the complex. MPD said that, when the officers arrived, they found the dogs still mauling the child, and an officer shot both of the dogs.

The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
