Police say officers initially responded to a south Indy apartment complex around 5:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of a dog bite.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD and Indianapolis Animal Care Services are investigating after a dog was shot after it reportedly attacked an officer Saturday afternoon.

According to IMPD, around 5:30 p.m. on March 8, officers responded to the 5300 block of Turtle Creek East Drive, near U.S. 31 South and East Epler Avenue on a report of a dog bite.

Police say that while officers were on scene, an officer was attacked by the dog. That officer then fired their service weapon, striking and killing the dog.

The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
