After reaching an offensive high-water mark in a win over the Anchorage Wolverines on Friday, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs struggled to find the back of the net on Saturday. They split their first two Alaska Airlines Club 49 Cup games and moved to 7-3-0-1 on the season, tied with Anchorage (7-3-1-0) in the NAHL Midwest Division standings.
The Ice Dogs were outshot by a combined margin of 79-to-46 shots on goal over the two games.
