The Ice Dogs are starting off the new year with a road series against the Chippewa Steel on Friday and Saturday, as they continue their climb toward the top spot in the Midwest Division.
It sets up their first games since the midseason break. They entered with a record of 18-5-1-3 for 40 points, which puts them third in the division. Only three points separate Fairbanks from the top-seeded Wisconsin Windigo – all while the Ice Dogs have four games in hand.
