The Ice Dogs (13-3-1-2) welcomed the Kenai River Brown Bears (8-12-1-2) on Friday night to kick off their last series in Fairbanks until January. They scored a goal in each period to take a 3-1 win.
Entering the opener, the Ice Dogs were in strong form. They had won their previous four games, all coming against Alaska Airlines Club 49 Cup foes, and looked to keep the trend going.
