Huntsville dog attack victim claims she’s living in fear

WAAY 31 heard from a woman who says vicious dogs attacked her, and she ended up in the hospital. She claims she’s living in fear as the dogs still roam the street freely.

Mindy Donahue said, “I was coming—walking back down here to my house—and two bulldogs from across the street. I’m on the opposite side of the street. I came across the street, and I hit one of them with my headlamp, but the other one grabbed me by my arm, and they both attacked me. I thought I was going to die.”

Donahue recalled the day she said two dogs brutally and viciously attacked her on her own street. Leaving her so badly injured, she was taken to Crestwood Hospital.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene on Baltimore Hill Road, and Madison County Animal Control ultimately took over.

Although Donahue said since her attack, they have yet to do anything about the dogs terrorizing her and the street.

“The main thing is that the community is not safe walking past there and those dogs, and there’s supposed to be a leash law, I think, and you’re supposed to have your animal contained and not attack people like this one,” said Donahue.

Donahue said these dogs have a history of aggression.

“They have bit two other people prior to me. I have contacted animal control two times before, and nothing has still been done about it,” added Donahue.

She is pleading for something to be done about these dogs before another person gets hurt.

Donahue added, “Anybody can be hurt or killed by these, and something needs to be done about it, but “because if that had been my little three-year-old grandchild or elderly person, they would be dead.”

She plans on seeking legal action and hopes animal control will soon put her and her neighbors at ease.

“And I want to sue the owner and whoever I have to sue to make sure that this doesn’t happen to someone else because it has physically and mentally bothered me, said Donahue.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
