COTTONWOOD — The Verde Valley Humane Society is closing off individual kennels and decreasing its dog intake to keep dogs safe at the society’s building.
“We are not utilizing kennels that are deemed unsafe,” Verde Valley Animal Shelter Manager Melanie Lucas said, “which cuts down on the intake we can take in.”
