After the nice, cooling rain of this week, I took the opportunity to spend some time on the back deck with Gunner and Sadie — our dogs— while listening to some music.
The smell of rain, still fresh in the air, was a welcome change from a typical sweltering, summer evening as the song, “Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine” played over the speaker.
