The bill created requirements for owners of dogs deemed “dangerous” due to their aggressive behaviors.
Dangerous dogs must be held in a secure kennel, and animal control will take custody of them during an investigation. The animals must also be microchipped and spayed or neutered.
Owners of dangerous dogs will be obligated to get at least $100,000 in liability insurance.
