Gunther, a 4-year-old cat, is among those available for adoption at the Tuscarawas County Humane Society Animal Shelter, 1432 Tall Timber Road NE in New Philadelphia. He was brought in through the humane officer after living in an unhealthy situation. He lived with cats and dogs previously. He does well with the other cats in his adoption room and likes to be petted. He is neutered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.
Mistletoe, a 17-week-old puppy, is available at the Tuscarawas County Humane Society Animal Shelter. He was surrendered because he was too much for the elderly couple that had him. He is a puppy, so he is a tripping hazard and has the zoomies and loves to play. He does well with other dogs and is just curious about cats. He will need all the usual puppy training. This is not a dog for the elderly. He is neutered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption hours at the shelter are 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The shelter is closed on Thursday. The phone number is 330-343-6060 and the website is www.tuschumanesociety.com.
