Horrific moment resident attacked by two dogs in Sheffield street caught on CCTV

This is the moment a man is viciously attacked by two dogs in a Sheffield street.

South Yorkshire Police has released CCTV footage of the attack, which happened on Sunday (29 September), in a bid to encourage dog owners to “step up and take action”.

The attack, involving a Mastiff and Cane Corso, happened just after 5pm on Dagnam Crescent, when the animals are believed to have escaped from a nearby property.

The 47-year-old victim suffered deeps cuts and puncture wounds across his body and was taken to hospital via ambulance, requiring surgery.

He remains in hospital.

A second victim, aged 14, suffered minor injuries from attempting to intervene.

A man, 21, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dog dangerously out of control and obstructing a police officer and has since been released on police bail.

A woman, 39, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dog dangerously out of control. She has since also released on police bail.
