Homeowners, 6 dogs survive house fire in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Clarksville firefighters helped some homeowners and their dogs to safety, and possibly saved the structure from a fire on Saturday afternoon.

According to Dash10 Media, the Clarksville Fire Department was alerted to a house fire around 3:25 p.m. at 19 Concord Drive and arrived to find the homeowners and five dogs already outside of the home. Firefighters were able to locate another dog inside and medics provided oxygen for the dog, which responded and was released, according to Dash10′s report.

The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes, and it was considered completely out by 4:45 p.m., according to Dash10.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it was believed to have started in the crawl space of the house.
