Looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors and do some good at the same time? This weekend, the All Kind Animal Initiative is inviting the community to take part in a heartwarming event: “Hiking with Homeless Dogs” at Abilene State Park.
The event gives local shelter dogs a much-needed break from the kennel and a chance to explore, stretch their legs, and enjoy some sunshine—alongside compassionate volunteers.
“It’s a win-win,” organizers say. “The dogs get exercise and social time, and people get to enjoy nature and spend time with a loving animal, even if it’s just for the day.”
