A dog’s routine changed slightly after her owner wasn’t feeling well, but what the Labrador does melted hearts.
Owner Katie came down with a cold earlier this week, keeping her bedridden for most of the day. Although she wasn’t feeling well, she mostly felt terrible about not giving her black Labrador retriever, Lexi, the typical daily routine. She told Newsweek via TikTok they are always active. She’ll take her dog on a walk about six or seven times a day. That day, however, they only walked twice.
“I felt a little regretful that I was not energetic and just mopey all day, but she really was so sweet and wanted to be by my side,” Katie said.
She explained Lexi always stays by her, but this time, the dog kept herself extra close. Making sure to show her love, Lexi curled up on the bed with Katie. It’s like “she knew” Katie wasn’t feeling herself and needed comfort.
Her dog’s attentiveness and willingness to adjust her schedule left Katie speechless. She filmed herself thanking Lexi the next day and posted it to the dog’s TikTok account @livinlavitalexi.
In the clip, Katie praised Lexi and explained how much it meant to her. She called her the “goodest girl” for staying with her the entire day. Lexi’s head tilted with every sentence from one side to the next. Her eyes widened as she listened intently. She couldn’t believe the words she heard about her actions, which she didn’t mind doing.

Wanting to return the favor, Katie surprised Lexi with a special treat. She drove her to Starbucks for a pup cup. Lexi kept her cool and patiently waited in the front seat. When Katie held out the cup for her, Lexi gently licked the whipped cream, savoring every last slurp.
With over 2 million views and 362,800 likes on TikTok, people instantly fell in love with Lexi. They called her an “angel” and “precious.” But what sealed the deal was her head tilt.
“She hangs on your every word. We don’t deserve them,” wrote a viewer.
A second person pointed out: “Those are some dramatic tilties.”
Others believed Lexi deserved more after healing Katie: “With those head tilts, she deserves two pup cups!”
