The award-winning Haute Dogs & Fries is unlikely to reopen its Alexandria location, after being unable to come to an agreement regarding the lease.
The inside of the restaurant at 610 Montgomery Street has been demolished.
The owners are still operating their multiple locations inside Nationals Park in Southeast DC, and the restaurant at 2910 N. Sycamore St. in Arlington is still open.
The restaurant was honored as one of the top 50 hot dogs in America by the Food Network in 2022. (Specifically, the bánh mì dog won the honors.)
