Handbags at six paces: Two women’s verbal duel over parking in Penang ends in arrests

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 — Two women were arrested yesterday in Seberang Perai, Penang, over a parking lot dispute that was recorded in a video being shared online.

According to North Seberang Perai police chief ACP Anuar Abdul Rahman, the women were arrested over police reports lodged against them on July 29 and 30.

“The investigation found that the incident occurred in the parking area of the Sunshine supermarket in Kepala Batas, Penang,” he said in a statement as reported by Free Malaysia Today.

“The cause of the incident was dissatisfaction over a parking space dispute.”

The police official said the investigations were for public fighting under the Penal Code, indecent behaviour under the Minor Offence Act, and improper use of network facilities under the Communications and Multimedia Act.

In the video, the women were seen recording one another with their smartphones while yelling in argument over a parking space.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
