NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – An animal rescue group is seeking donations for neglected dogs found on a Tennessee property “surrounded by skulls and bones.”
The Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) reported that eight dogs were saved after their owner was charged with aggravated animal cruelty in August.
ARC said there was no place for the dogs to go in the rural Tennessee county, and the tenant was ordered to provide care to them while law enforcement searched for help.
Some of the surviving dogs remained tied up, penned up and let loose, the organization said.
ARC said the animals were waiting for help that had not yet come until they were able to step in.
ARC’s Operation Holiday Spirit is their second case in four days.
Donations are needed to help support and care for the dogs.
