GoFundMe Set Up for Family of Cheyenne Boy Mauled by Dog

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of a 4-year-old Cheyenne boy who was mauled by a dog over the weekend.

According to organizer Cora Fiechtner, her friend’s son, Jackson Reed, was bit by a dog on Sunday, and it tore his cheek open.

“They spent the night in the hospital last night, and he is in surgery this morning for repairs and to assess possible damage,” Fiechtner wrote on GoFundMe. “There will be scarring and a high possibility of nerve damage.”

Fiechtner is hoping to raise $10,000 to help Jackson’s parents, Alyssa and Dan Reed, who are both teachers, with Jackson’s medical expenses.

“Jackson is a spirited, energetic, baseball and fish loving little man with so much love for his family and friends, including his newborn baby brother,” wrote Fiechtner.

“If you can, please consider donating to this amazing family to help ease the financial burden of this current surgery and any future medical treatments,” she added. “Above all, please pray for Jackson and his family as they navigate this unexpected and traumatic event.”

As of 3:45 p.m. Friday, the GoFundMe page, Stand with Jackson and the Reed Family, had raised $1,150.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
