Give shelter dogs a day of fun at ‘Hiking with Homeless Dogs’ event

All Kind Animal Initiative is hosting “Hiking with Homeless Dogs” this weekend.

The shelter will bring a group of dogs who need a break from their kennels to the Abilene State Park.

The pups will have time to stretch their legs, sniff the trees and soak up some sunshine.

You can come for free.

Just stop at the gate, and tell them you’re there for “Hiking with Homeless Dogs.”

There is no pressure to adopt, this is just a chance to give a shelter dog a special day.

All Kind said the trail is two miles, easy-rated and partially shaded.

There is a bathroom available near the end of the route.

The hike starts at 10 a.m. and will wrap up at noon.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
