
JENSEN BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Two dogs were rescued from an apartment fire in Jensen Beach on Saturday evening.
Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) said at around 5 p.m., crews were called for water running and leaking from an apartment at The Reserve on1300 NE Reserve Trail.
At the scene, firefighters saw water spill out from under the apartment door and felt heat coming from it. Firefighters entered the apartment and saw a fire had broken out on the stove.

Luckily, three sprinklers inside the home did their job. preventing the flames from spreading more. Firefighters were then able to extinguish the stove fire.
Inside the apartment, MCFR said crews found and rescued two dogs. Both were given oxygen as a precaution, and appeared unharmed from the incident.
Photos taken at the complex show the aftermath. The dogs were taken outside under the care of the firefighters, and crews went to clean up the water on the floor left behind from the sprinklers.
