One of the most heartbreaking scenes we’ve witnessed.
Those were the words PSPCA used to describe the scene of a neglect case officers were called to around 2:46 p.m.
“When officers stepped onto the property in Lancaster Township, they walked into a nightmare,” PSPCA said in a post about the canines.
In the backyard, dogs were injured, puncture marks, dried blood, and caked-on filth. The ground they were forced to live on was soaked in urine and feces. Matted fur hung from their broken bodies.
PSPCA is asking for any donations possible to help the dogs recover from the “horror” as they are “in need of everything.”
“We can’t take away their suffering, but we can fight to save them.”
Authorities have not yet released if any suspects have been arrested or if any charges have been filed.
