Gainesville firefighters rescue 2 dogs from burning home

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Firefighters battled a house fire on New Year’s Eve in Gainesville and rescued two dogs.

Gainesville Fire Rescue crews say a home caught fire on Tuesday morning on Northwest 30th Avenue.

Firefighters rescued two dogs from the fire. No people were inside the home.

The fire was extinguished and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
