HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – The City of Henderson is encouraging the community, pet owners and their dogs to come out next week to celebrate the opening of the Downtown Henderson Dog Park.
Officials are holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, September 23rd, at 5:30 p.m. at 22 N Water St.
Organizers say the park is designed to be a fun and safe place for dogs and their owners to enjoy the outdoors in the heart of Henderson’s downtown.
“This addition offers a unique gathering spot for residents and visitors alike, enhancing the vibrancy of our growing city,” said a city spokesperson.
Officials say the Henderson County Humane Society will also be at the event and have dogs up for adoption.
“These sweet, loving dogs are looking for their forever homes, and this could be the perfect opportunity to welcome a furry companion into your family,” the spokesperson adds.
For additional information about the event, please contact the Henderson Chamber office at (270) 826-7505.
