CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Some furry friends were calming down passengers Thursday at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Their names were Lyla and Maya, and they are from the SPCA Serving Erie County. Volunteer Allan Monaco said these dogs are trained to help ease stress, anxiety, and tension.

“For example, I met a lady maybe last year. She came up to me and says, ‘Can I pet your dog?’ I said absolutely,” he said.

“So about a week later I get a message from her, and she says to me, ‘I just want you to know, I was not planning on going out that day, I wasn’t planning on flying that day, but my mother just passed, and I was going out of town to make arrangements. I just want you to know that your dog Jake comforted me so much.’ I’ll remember that forever.”

These dogs help at different places like nursing homes, group homes, and more.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
