TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Anakin, Kammi, Scoob and Ty Prater are more than ready to blow this pop stand (aka the shelter) and find a fur-ever home with you!
Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get shelter dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them get adopted.
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET ANAKIN!
Meet Anakin.
This lab mix is nowhere near the dark side. He is friendly and energetic and ready to have some fun!
Anakin had a big time navigating the ramps and jumps of the bike track. He even tried to jump over the the camera lady!
This joyful Jedi is big and getting bigger. The one-year-old is excited to find a family with a love of adventure, big backyards and a dog bed that may be as big as yours!
Anakin, may the force be with you, and may you find the fun-loving family of your dreams!
You can meet Anakin at the shelter this weekend!
MEET TY PRATER!
Meet Ty Prater.
Who is Ty Prater anyway? He sure sounds famous! This rottweiler mix is camera friendly and ready to shine!
Ty has a sparkle in his eye and it’s easy to see why he’s one of the most popular guys at the shelter – both among humans and his furry friends!
Ty Prater is a playful pup who loves toys and big backyards! Ty loves splashing in baby pools and sprawling out in the cool shade.
He is the perfect pup to join you just in time for summer! Please visit him at the shelter this weekend!
MEET KAMMI!
Meet Kammi.
This is one determined girl! Determined to make the most of this stroll in the sun!
Don’t tell Kammi she’s eight! This bloodhound mix likes to keep it moving!
Kammi likes showing off her beautiful salt and pepper highlights and taking a brief break to scarf down some treats.
Kammi has lots of walks and lots of love to give!
She is hoping for a soft landing with a family that will treasure her!

MEET SCOOB!
Meet Scoob.
That’s Scooby without the Y!
This big boy needs room to romp! And to relax!
The lab mix is ready to leave the barking of the shelter behind.
He can be cautious, but soon that tail starts wagging and Scoob is ready to go!
He loves treats and TLC and quickly becomes a super size velcro dog ready to do life by your side.
If this big goofy boy is making you grin, please visit him at the shelter this weekend!
MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
People can walk through the kennels Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. People can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
