Fundraiser held in Corinth to support Mission Working Dogs

CORINTH, Maine (WABI) – The Dow-Lougee American Legion Auxiliary Unit 115 held a lunchtime fundraiser on Saturday to support Mission Working Dogs.

Hungry community members filled the Corinth United Methodist Church to help support the cause.

The lunch was open to the public and required no fee, however donations were encouraged.

Guests were served a meal of chop suey, garlic bread, salad, and, of course, lots of desserts.

The American Legion Auxiliary aims to help all veterans, and fundraisers like this are just one way of doing so.

“So that’s all we’re doing, we’re supporting the legion and helping the veterans, past, present, and future,” said Trudy Darling, a member of Dow-Lougee American Legion Auxiliary Unit 115.

The fundraiser ended up raising $600 in donations.

If you did not attend today but would still like to donate, more fundraisers will be held in the future.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
