In Vogue’s March-April 2025 cover story, Ananya Panday had recalled her longing for the “really cute Chanel Wallet bag” that she had once borrowed from her mum and flaunted through much of her teens—one that her little sister later spirited away to New York in a predictable sibling stunt. Last week, when Chanel announced Ananya Panday as its newest ambassador—and its first Indian one—life seemed to be coming full circle for the young actor.

In Vogue’s latest edition of What’s In My Bag, Panday shared the contents of her Chanel 25 bag, wearing a classic Chanel black tweed jacket and jumpsuit. Beyond her dog’s toys and headphones, the list included a monogrammed maroon silk stole and a star-shaped, quilted silver coin purse also from the maison.
