SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) – A drug bust in Rowan County led to four arrests and the recovery of a missing dog, deputies confirmed.
A month-long investigation into a home on California Drive in Salisbury ended on Tuesday, Feb. 4 after deputies found the missing dog, drugs, drug paraphernalia and firearms.
Deputies said that during the investigation, they bought fentanyl from Donnavan Sherrill and Lontee Pressley on California Drive.
While they were taking out a search warrant at the home, investigators said they were approached by someone who said they tracked their missing dog to that location. The dog was found inside of the home and returned.
Four people in total were arrested: Donnavan Sherrill, Lontee Pressley, Shyanne Panter, and Sara Childress.
Sherrill was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule 1, possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule 2, conspire to sell/deliver schedule 2, three counts of maintain a dwelling, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, and possession drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $250,000 bond.
Pressley was charged with intent to sell/deliver schedule 1 and conspire to sell/deliver schedule 1. He was issued a $150,000 bond.
Panter was charged with felony possession of a firearm and issued a $50,000 bond.
Childress was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule 4. Her bond was set at $1,000.
