He was picked up as a stray by a small rural shelter when he was just 4 months old, and due to his at-risk status, he was saved by one of our rescue partners. Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Mix
Blackey is a sweet loving boy who has a wagging tail at all times and the cutest little ears that will stand straight up at times. He is the shyer one between him and his brother Aramis, but slowly opens up and likes to come up to you and get occasional pets and give your hand kisses. He seems to talk when he yawns with the cutest little noises. He gets along well with dogs of all ages in the house and seems to do good with cats in the house as well. He is exposed to school age children daily and also does good with them! He is pretty laid back for a puppy, he likes to run around the yard and play with toys and the other dogs and then is ready to come inside and lay down for a rest. He is crate trained and sleeps for 8+ hours during the night without accidents or whining. He is also crate trained during the work day for 5 hours with no accidents. We are working on house training and it is going very well. We are also working on the “sit” command. Overall blackey is your typical curious loving little puppy.

Mikey and his siblings were owner released to the shelter and at risk of euthanasia. They are now in the care of a wonderful AFH foster until they find new homes. We are told they are labrador mixes, but Mikey looks like he took after the other side of the family. He has a beautiful tan coast with grey tones and a black mask. Mikey loves people of all ages. Lilly is a happy, playful girl. Energetic and still very loving, she would love to meet you. Lilly would enjoy another dog in her new home or kids to run and play with.
