For the love of dogs

The Steubenville Art Association held a workshop at Christmas on Main in Richmond Saturday, where members and non-members created a dog collage. Each artwork differed from the others, as individuals formed their own idea of how the canine should appear. President Judy Schmidt stated the $5 charge covered all necessary items supplied by the SAA. Participants created their works by gluing together torn pieces of colored paper. Schmidt said the SAA hopes to hold future workshops once a month. Anyone is welcome to attend. Those interested in joining an upcoming workshop can contact Schmidt at judyschmidt50@hotmail.com or (740) 424-3835. Some of Saturday’s collages included the works of the following participants, as shown clockwise from top left, Jennifer Ingram, Love Wood, Scmidt and Aggie Wiltrout.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
