Florida woman arrested for allegedly stabbing boyfriend’s dog: ‘I made a mistake,’ she says

A woman from Florida was arrested on Sunday after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend’s dog multiple times, later claiming to authorities that she had “made a mistake,” as reported by Fox News.
Megan Lynn Mileskiewicz, 23, now faces charges of animal cruelty and resisting arrest.
The incident unfolded on Sunday when deputies responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman was attacking her boyfriend’s dog with a knife.

The caller told authorities that Mileskiewicz had been repeatedly stabbing the animal inside the home.
When authorities arrived, they found Mileskiewicz hiding behind a tool shed in the backyard, face down on the ground. Despite orders to crawl out of the bushes, she refused, and deputies had to physically remove her from the hiding spot before placing her under arrest.
The dog, a 2-year-old pit bull, was found with two lacerations, each between 2 and 3 inches long near its rear. Although the injuries were not life-threatening, the dog was still bleeding.
A witness reported seeing Mileskiewicz grab a pocketknife and stab the dog in anger, without any provocation.
After the arrest, Mileskiewicz was read her rights and allegedly told investigators that the dog had been bothering her. She later admitted that her actions were a mistake.
Mileskiewicz was taken to the Hernando County Detention Centre, where she was charged with animal cruelty and resisting arrest without violence. Her bond was set at $3,500.
