
KALISPELL, Mont. — The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office seized 27 dogs while serving a search warrant at a residence in Coram on Thursday.
Deputies discovered a deceased puppy while searching the residence.
Officials say the dogs were found in unsanitary and uninhabitable conditions.
All of the rescued dogs were sent to the Flathead County Animal Shelter for medical care.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office posted the following on Facebook:
“On March 13, 2025, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence in Coram, resulting in the seizure of 27 live dogs and the discovery of a deceased puppy. The animals were found in unsanitary and uninhabitable conditions with little access to food, water, or veterinary care.
All rescued dogs have been placed in the care of the Flathead County Animal Shelter, where they will receive the necessary medical attention and care pending the disposition of this case.
Community members who wish to support the welfare of these animals can contact the Flathead County Animal Shelter directly for information on how to help.
