
Chesapeake firefighters rescued five dogs from a house fire on Troy Lane Sunday night.
CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Five dogs were rescued from a house fire in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake on Sunday night.
The fire was reported at 8:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of Troy Lane, according to a press release from Chesapeake Fire Department. Units arrived on scene six minutes later to smoke visible from the front door.
Five dogs were rescued from the fire, and no injuries were reported. The family will be displaced due to the amount of damage from the fire. Investigators are working to determine the cause.
