MOHAWK — Five dogs have been rescued from neglectful conditions in a foreclosed barn in Mohawk. .
Herkimer County Humane Society officials said they were recently called to the barn during a foreclosure process where five adult-aged dogs were found living in filth and broken kennels. The property was owned by a one-time licensed breeder, officials said, and they are investigating the owner’s status.
