Five dogs and five cats died Tuesday evening when a recreational vehicle trailer in a Jersey City RV park went up in flames Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Jersey City firefighters responded to the Liberty Harbor RV park, a lot at the foot Marin Boulevard, just before 6 p.m. and found a working fire within the trailer, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.
Firefighters contained the fire to one trailer. No injuries were reported in the fire, which remains under investigation.
