Firefighters Rescue Woman, Dogs, Cat From Fire in Granada Hills

A 60-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital in fair condition Wednesday from a house fire in Granada Hills, where firefighters also rescued three dogs and one cat from the two-story structure.

“There are still several more cats unaccounted for and firefighters continue to look for them while conducting overhaul operations,” Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

Firefighters dispatched at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday to 11255 N. Dempsey Ave., just west of Haskell Avenue, had the fire out within 26 minutes of their arrival, Stewart said.

“The fire started on the first floor and extended up through to the attic,” she said.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
