“It was a (significant) working fire with heavy smoke when we got there,” Johnston said.
The two residents of the single-story home were not injured in the fire, said Johnston, noting that the Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
The residents were not home when the fire broke out. However, one resident was treated at the scene for a non-fire related issue, Johnston said.
Firefighters from Massillon, Brewster, Erie Valley, Dalton, Kidron and Orrville assisted North Lawrence, Johnston said. No firefighters were injured while battling the blaze.
