
The New Richmond Fire Department says that a home was significantly damaged after fire engulfed it Saturday morning.It occurred at a two-story home on Sycamore Street within New Richmond.A representative with the fire department told WLWT that a family of three that lived within the home did not sustain any injuries, and only one of the house’s occupants was home at the time of the fire. The fire department said that that person who was home at the time had to escape from a second floor window of the home and jump to the ground to escape the flames.However, the family owns 11 dogs, with the fire department telling WLWT that none remained accounted for in the immediate hours after the fire. According to the department, a large bulk of the 11 dogs came from a newborn litter that one of the family’s dogs had recently birthed.The cause of the fire is still unknown.This is a breaking news story and will be updated as WLWT learns more.
