An unknown number of dogs died in a fire at a kennel in Canton on Thursday.
Firefighters were called to the Maple Ridge Kennels early Thursday morning after a passerby saw the flames, according to the Canton Fire Department. The animal rescue No Dogs Left Behind operates the building, which was destroyed.
The animals inside couldn’t be rescued from the fire. No human injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
