Fire: 2 displaced, dog resuscitated after Northside house fire Saturday night

Sadly, a second dog died as a result of the fire.

LEADING THE WAY. GOOD MORNING AND THANKS FOR JOINING US AT 5:00 ON THIS FIRST DAY OF JUNE. I’M TIFFANY WILSON HERE WITH METEOROLOGIST KATIE DONOVAN. I THINK WE ARE ALL HOPING THAT WE HAVE WARMER, MORE SUMMER LIKE AIR THIS JUNE. YES, ABSOLUTELY. AND YOU KNOW, THIS WEEK WE ARE GOING TO GET BACK TO THE MIDDLE 80S, WHICH IS NICE. YOU KNOW, WE’VE ALL BEEN KIND OF READY TO GET TO THE POOLS. YEAH. OPENED UP OVER THE WEEKEND AND WE FINALLY HAVE SOME POOL WEATHER HERE IN CINCINNATI. RIGHT NOW WE’RE SITTING UNDER MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND DOWNTOWN. WE’VE GOT SOME GENERALLY CALM WINDS HERE, MAYBE SOME TO AROUND 5 TO 10MPH. BUT TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW ARE SITTING IN THE MIDDLE 40S. SO AGAIN, WHERE THE WIND IS A LITTLE BIT LESS THIS MORNING AND IT IS A BIT CHILLY. WE’VE GOT 48 IN ERLANGER, 49 IN ALEXANDRIA KENWOOD’S AT A COOL 44. WE HAVE ABOUT 45 UP IN MIDDLETOWN. WIDER PICTURE IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO SHOW 40S HERE OUTSIDE OF 275 AND SOME 50S AS YOU HEAD SOUTH INTO NORTHERN KENTUCKY. HERE FROM DRY RIDGE INTO WARSAW IN V.V., WHERE IT’S ABOUT 50. TO START OUT, YOUR SUNDAY FORECAST HIGHS TODAY SET TO CLIMB TO THE LOWER 70S ANYWHERE FROM 70 TO AROUND 73. SO ANOTHER MILD DAY TODAY. I THINK WE WILL HAVE SOME FILTERED SUNSHINE. SO SMOKE BACK IN THE FORECAST FOR TODAY. BUT GENERALLY QUIET THROUGH THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS HERE. I DON’T THINK WE’RE LOOKING AT ANY KIND OF RAIN OPPORTUNITY UNTIL WELL INTO THE MIDDLE PART OF THE WEEK. SO WE’LL BE IN THE LOWER 60S AS YOU HEAD TOWARDS 11 UPPER 60S BY ONE, AND THEN SOME LOW TO MIDDLE 70S BETWEEN 3 AND 7:00 THIS EVENING. I’LL HAVE A COMPLETE OUTLOOK FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. AND WHEN THE SMOKE HERE FROM CANADIAN WILDFIRES LOOKS MOST PROMINENT COMING UP. TIFFANY. KATIE. THANK YOU. WE ARE LEADING THE WAY WITH BREAKING NEWS. TWO PEOPLE ARE INJURED AFTER A SHOOTING AT A BAR IN ROSELAWN OVERNIGHT. NOW, POLICE TELL US THAT THIS HAPPENED AT INFINITY ROSE LOUNGE RIGHT AFTER 1 A.M. AND INVESTIGATORS SAY BOTH VICTIMS WERE SHOT INSIDE OF THAT BAR. THEY’VE BEEN TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH SERIOUS BUT NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. IT IS NOT CLEAR WHAT LED UP TO THE SHOOTING, AND POLICE HAVE NOT SHARED ANY INFORMATION ABOUT A POSSIBLE SUSPECT. NOW, THE VIOLENCE THIS WEEKEND COMES AFTER CITY OFFICIALS SAID THAT THE NUMBER OF SHOOTINGS IS ACTUALLY TRENDING DOWNWARD. WLWT NEWS FIVE’S DAISY KERSHAW CHECKED IN WITH THOSE ON THE FRONT LINE WHO ARE WORKING TO PREVENT VIOLENCE. IT’S TOO PRECIOUS CARGO THAT WE’RE LOSING IN THESE STREETS TO SENSELESS GUN VIOLENCE. SEVEN SHOOTINGS IN THREE DAYS, PUTTING MANY ON HIGH ALERT. ANTI-VIOLENCE ADVOCATES SAYING THEY DON’T WANT TO SEE THIS TREND CONTINUE. YOU KNOW, I THINK THAT WE ARE SEEING A LOT OF THE JUST THE RECKLESS SHOOTINGS, THE DRIVE-BY SHOOTINGS, THE SHOOTINGS INTO CROWDS, PEOPLE SHOOTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. WE ARE LOSING LIVES. ANTI-VIOLENCE ADVOCATES SAYING THEY DON’T WANT TO SEE THIS TREND CONTINUE. WE CAN MAKE THIS THING TURN AROUND, RIGHT? WE HAVE TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING. JUST GETTING READY WHERE WE NEED TO DO TO TRY TO STAY IN FRONT OF THIS THING. THE BIGGEST THING IS PREVENTION. WE SPOKE WITH TIARA POWELL, PRESIDENT OF THE EAST WESTWOOD IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION, WHO ECHOED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PREVENTION WORK BEING DONE IN CINCINNATI. I THINK THAT THERE ARE SO MANY RESOURCES HERE IN THE CITY. THE UNFORTUNATE PART IS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT THEM, AND THEY DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO THEM OR EVEN KNOW WHERE TO GO. AND THAT IS A BIG PIECE OF WHAT WE DO TRY TO GET PEOPLE TO WHAT THEY NEED. A LOT OF TIMES THEY JUST ARE UNAWARE OF WHAT THEY’RE ELIGIBLE FOR OR WHAT’S AVAILABLE TO THEM AND WHERE TO GO. FIND THAT HELP. POWELL SAYS EVERYONE NEEDS TO PITCH IN TO HELP STOP THESE SENSELESS SHOOTINGS. WE’RE JUST GOING TO BE VISIBLE AND REALLY DIG INTO TRYING TO DIG WITH THESE FAMILIES AND GET THEM WHAT THEY NEED AND JUST TRY TO DO WHAT WE CAN WITH THE MINIMAL RESOURCES THAT WE HAVE. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WE HEAR YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF AND OTHERS HERE IN EAST WESTWOOD. WE ARE DOING WHAT WE CAN, WHERE WE CAN, BUT WE ABSOLUTELY HEAR YOU. AND WE’RE WE’RE TRYING TO HELP. AND THAT WAS DAISY KERSHAW REPORTING. NOW CPD SUMMER SAFETY PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND OUTREACH EFFORTS. THEY’LL ALSO BE MONITORING HOTSPOTS CLOSELY AND WORKING TO RECOVER STOLEN FIREARMS. WELL, CINCINNATI POLICE ARE ALSO INVESTIGATING TWO SHOOTINGS FROM YESTERDAY. THE FIRST SHOOTING HAPPENING JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY BETWEEN MONTGOMERY ROAD AND BREWSTER IN EVANSTON. A 16 YEAR OLD WAS SHOT AND TAKEN TO UC MEDICAL CENTER. IT IS UNCLEAR JUST HOW SEVERE THE TEEN’S INJURIES ARE, AND THAT INVESTIGATION IS STILL ONGOING. AND THEN JUST BEFORE 2 P.M., A SHOOTING TOOK PLACE AT A HOME IN NORWOOD AND TWO VICTIMS WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. WHEN OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THAT SCENE, TWO PEOPLE FLED THE SCENE. BUT OFFICIALS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT NEITHER OF THEM WERE THE SHOOTER. POLICE BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT AND THAT THERE

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
