Father, son arrested after 10 dogs found in ‘deplorable conditions’ in Stanislaus County, sheriff says
A father and son were arrested in Stanislaus County on Thursday and are accused of animal cruelty involving 10 dogs, the sheriff’s office said.Deputies were called out to a home on Oak Creek Court in unincorporated Oakdale for a welfare check of an elderly man. They found 10 “severely neglected” dogs that had been left without proper food and water and needed veterinarian attention. The dogs ranged from puppies to fully grown animals. One dog was found dead and toxic fumes were present inside the home, according to the sheriff’s office. Jimmy Haston, 65, and Joshua Haston, 42, were arrested and booked into the Public Safety Center on numerous animal cruelty charges. They are being held on $200,000 bail.
