ALEXANDER, Ark. (KATV) — A 15-year-old girl is dead after being attacked by dogs she was taking care of.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at noon on Wednesday about the attack. When they arrived, they found her at a fenced-in private property on Cherylwood Road in Alexander.
The sheriff’s office says that the property holds about 30 dogs that were in the process of being rescued. They say in a release that she was “assisting the rescue with caring for the animals and helping to find them permanent homes.”
The dogs have been seized by the sheriff’s office and the Benton animal control.
An investigation is ongoing.
